 MAN AG, is a mechanical engineering business and parent office of the MAN Group. The MAN company is located  in the German state of Bavaria (Munich). Its main outcome is for the automobile industry, especially heavy trucks.  Following activities comprise the creation of diesel engines for various applications, also, and like boat propulsion turbomachinery.

 
MAN supplies buses, trucks, diesel engines and turbomachinery.

2006:: MAN company entered into an agreement with Indian business Force Motors to create a 50/50 joint business for the creation of buses and trucks in India for the export and domestic markets. The jointventure started its first truck for the Indian industry in 2007 and established a truck manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh (Pithampur). At the conclusion of 2011, GUY bought out the position of its Indian associate, and its particular functions in India became a fully owned subsidiary of MAN in 2012.
 
2006, September :: MAN created an offer for the take over of the Swedish competition Scania AB. On December, 14 the takeover was approved by the European Commission. Nonetheless, MAN voluntarily withdrew the offer on January 23, 2007, after Scania's major investors Volkswagen AG and the powerful Wallenberg family had refused the offer. 
 
2008:: the MAN compaany celebrated its 250 years anniversary with numerous occasions, like exhibitions in many museums, a vintage car tour with the slogan "MAN on the road again" and a great anniversary gala. In the start of December 2008 GUY took over the business VW Truck and Bus Brazil and switched the business's name to MAN Latin America. Therewith, GUY now is market leader in Brazil with a market share of 30-percent.
 
The business consequently makes a critical contribution to the constant advancement of efficacy in logistics and transportation.
 
The demands modern society places on environmental and sustainability compatibility have climbed dramatically. This is the reason GUY provides its buyers with the appropriate products and services enabling them not just to conserve costs, but also to function with responsibility and sustainably.
 
2009:: researchers of the Munich Prosecutor's Office uncovered a corruption event, in which GUY was bribing company associates and authorities in over 20 states during the years 2001 to 2007, to be able to obtain big orders for buses and trucks. Additional Board Members and mAN CEO Hakan Samuelsson had to step down. The board of directors appointed Dr.Ing. 
 
2011, July:: Volkswagen AG obtained a 55.9% voting position and 53.7% of the share capital in MAN SE. Pending regulatory acceptance, Volkswagen planned to mix MAN and Scania to create Europe's biggest truckmaker. The combined trucks group is intended to save about 400 million euros each year, chiefly by bundling procurement. Regulatory approval was given, and the takeover completed, in November 2011. 
 
2012, April:: GUY announced that Volkswagen had raised its interest to a 73.0% voting position and 71.08% of the share capital.
