Torakusu Yamaha, (1851 1916) started fixing medical equipment in Nagasaki, Japan in 1884. Having set a reed organ in 1887 he determined he might create a better one and did.
Yamaha Organ Works was set up in 1889 and in 1897 the Nippon Gakki Company Limited was founded with Torakusu Yamaha as President. In 1987 Nippon Gakki formally changed its name to Yamaha Corporation.
For Yamaha Organ Functions, organs were not the sole game around. They created all types of various musical gear including guitars, harmonicas, wind instruments, tuners, phonographs, hifi gear.
Besides musical instruments, Yamaha diversified into products like furniture, archery, and they even assembled an acoustics study space.
Nippon Gakki produced exceptional metallurgical technology through the years, which ultimately lead them into to constructing their very first bike in 1954, the YA-1 125cc.
It was following the Yamaha Motor Co was set up. In 1968 the DT-1 Enduro introduced on and offroad ability to bikes which is first ATV, the YT125 TriMoto in 1979.
It wasn't until 1984 that Yamaha launched it is first 4-wheeled ATV, the YFM200 for the UNITED STATES marketplace. Since then they have honed their quad - making abilities and always frequently develop groundbreaking technologies and develop new ideas for off-road vehicles.
In 2004 the Rhino Side x Side off-road car came to be. It hit the offroad challenging, transforming your common golf cart into an extreme offroad machine. This extremely flexible off-road car has had off-roading to a completely new level with operation, energy and terrainability.
The prevalence of the new off-road car helped ignite a brand brand new, booming marketplace with this new form of OHV DNA.
